Celebrating Christmas in UK and Hong Kong

Happy Christmas everyone!

Celebrating Christmas can be very different each year for me.

When I was little in Hong Kong , I remember celebrating with family and cousins for dinner and presents (of course!) . As we get older I start doing ballet performance with friends over the holiday , it was fun! I would also have Christmas party with friends , exchange presents , play games and have a feast together.

Celebrating Christmas in Hong Kong is very different then in the UK. It is more like a friends gathering party time in Hong Kong while in the UK is a family vacation like Chinese New Year for people in Hong Kong.

This year my parents in laws came to stay with us. I am under a little pressure to cook a nice traditional Christmas dinner. To be very honest there are so many way to cook Christmas dinner, I just follow recipe online from two of my favourite chef - Gordon Ramsay and Heston Blumenthal. We have turkey ( you can't miss it for Christmas right?!) carrots&parsnip , pancetta chestnut with brussels sprouts , roasted potatoes with goose fat and stuffing ( I can't resist to get new waitrose Heston pre-made stuffing, it is delicious!)

I also made Swiss cheese fondue for Christmas Eve . Grating cheese is not an easy job when you are trying to make homemade cheese fondue, it involved a lot of cheese but it worth all the effort when it turns out very tasty!

Yet whatever way I celebrate , Christmas is always fill with love and fun. May I take this chance to wish you and your family health, happiness, peace and prosperity this holiday season and in the coming new year. May the magic Christmas fill your heart all year long.
